Vaya Maya meaning weaving dreams caters to the theater section of SPT.

Life is difficult. People want to experience that, from the safety of a comfortable seat.

A stage play will always be a point of intersection between

the visible and invisible worlds or

the display of the manifestation of the hidden.

To enter a theatre for a performance is to be inducted into a magical space,

to be ushered into the sacred arena of the imagination.

Whether it’s the baggage of problems, tragedies and being tired or the positive emotions,

happiness, celebrations, love and care, when portrayed on stage will help the audience

to open up their hearts and release their pent-up emotions and also experience

the joy and happiness that life  has made them hold back.

At SPT, the members get to know and explore more of themselves through acting and get in

touch with realities of life with a different perspective.

SPT welcomes scripts from any member or anyone. Our president Mrs. Srilatha Pratap

then adds colors to it by writing the screen play, directing the play, identifying the talent among

the members and casting them accordingly and adding the background score.

She encourages the members (amateurs that they are) not to be afraid to make mistakes or

look ridiculous in public. This in-turn helps them gain confidence and

live their passion by reliving the reality.
